Polishing Cleaning Balls (P250 / PL250)

Description

P250,PL250 Standard cleaning balls with polishing agent, designed for stainless steel and titanium tubes in seawater service.

Applications

Suitable for stainless steel and titanium tubing in saline (seawater) conditions. Also used in evaporators of multi-stage flash (MSF) seawater desalination plants.

Cleaning Frequency

In power plants:

• 12 cleaning balls per tube per hour

In MSF desalination plants:

• 2 balls per tube per hour
• Ball injection volume: 30% of the tube count in the first-effect evaporator

Product Features (P250 / PL250 System)

Cleaning balls containing polishing additives, specifically designed for MSF systems where tube surfaces tend to become rough due to scaling and deposits.

During summer operation, calcium scale formation increases significantly. The P250 model can also be used as a long-life version (PL250) for extended service life.

P Series Overview

(P – Standard Base Grade for Power Plants)

• Physical properties:Wet density 1.04–1.08 g/cm³
• Hardness:

• 130 → Soft (25°)
• 150 → Medium hard (28°)
• 160 → High hard (32°)
  • Aging resistance: ≥ 0.70

Key features:
General-purpose base grade for power plants. Balanced elasticity, cost-effective, standard for neutral water conditions.

Recommended applications:
Conventional thermal power plants, captive power stations, and routine maintenance of new units under soft sludge conditions.

(P – Wear-Resistant Upgraded Version)

• Same physical base as standard P series
• Improved crosslinking structure
• Wear loss (120h): ≤ 0.12 mm
• Aging factor: ≥ 0.75

Key features:
Upgraded wear-resistant formulation of the P series. Reduces wear by ~30%, lowering ball replacement frequency.

Recommended applications:
High flow rate systems, continuous 24-hour operation combined heat and power (CHP) plants.
