Description

P230, PL230 Standard cleaning balls with polishing agent, designed for stainless steel and titanium tubes operating in seawater conditions.

Applications

Suitable for stainless steel and titanium tubing in saline (seawater) environments. Also used in evaporators of multi-stage flash (MSF) seawater desalination plants.

Cleaning Frequency

In power plants:

• 12 cleaning balls per tube per hour

In MSF desalination plants:

• 2 balls per tube per hour
• Ball injection rate: 30% of the tube count in the first-effect evaporator

Product Features

Cleaning balls with polishing additives are designed for tube surfaces in MSF systems, where fouling and surface roughness are common.

During summer operation, calcium scale deposition increases significantly. The P230 type can also be used as a long-life version (PL230) for extended service performance.

• Physical properties:Wet density 1.04–1.08 g/cm³
• Hardness levels:

• 130 → Soft (25°)
• 150 → Medium hard (28°)
• 160 → High hard (32°)
  • Aging resistance: ≥ 0.70

Key features:
General-purpose base grade for power plants. Balanced elasticity, cost-effective, and suitable for neutral water systems.

Recommended applications:
Conventional thermal power plants, captive power stations, and routine maintenance of new units under soft sludge conditions.

(P – Wear-Resistant Upgraded Version)

• Same base physical properties as standard P series
• Improved cross-linkingstructure
• Wear loss (120h): ≤ 0.12 mm
• Aging factor: ≥ 0.75

Key features:
Upgraded wear-resistant formulation of the P series, reducing wear by approximately 30% and lowering replacement frequency.

Recommended applications:
High-flow systems, 24-hour continuous operation thermal power plants and co-generation units.
